Yasamin lost her father, the late Dr. Ronald Chance Brown, to suicide in 2002. She now uses her experience and Public Health degree to train professionals and lay people in suicide prevention at HopeRestoredProject.net.

Running for the Bus

The session in which we interview Dr. Gail Karafin about teen sleep needs and implications for changing school start times. 

An update: Since our interview with Dr. Karafin, Senate Resolution No. 417 was passed. This resolution directs the Joint State Government Commission to establish an advisory committee to conduct a study on secondary school start time in PA.

Dr. Karafin founded the Pennsylvania Chapter of Start School Later -StartSchoolLater.net
